Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is definitely a day for treats, isn’t it? Below I’ll link to some of my favorite Valentine’s Day desserts but before we get to those, let’s start the day with a dark chocolate berry smoothie that’s actually good for us!

Dark Chocolate & Blackberry Collagen Peptides

For this dark chocolate berry smoothie, I used the Vital Proteins Dark Chocolate & Blackberry Collagen Peptides. I love this collagen protein powder. It has 20g of collagen per serving and 18g of protein. It’s not plant-based but it is dairy-free which is a win in my book.

If you don’t use the Vital Proteins collagen, you could sub in any chocolate-flavored protein powder of your choosing. But I really like the Vital Proteins because it has both the chocolate and the blackberry. It’s such a great combination.

Dark Chocolate Berry Smoothie

I whipped up this smoothie based on the Fab4 Formula so it doesn’t have much fruit but you’d never know! The Vital Proteins collagen is naturally sweet because of the cocoa and blackberry but it doesn’t have any added sugar and is Whole30-approved.

I used frozen greens, frozen cauliflower, flaxseed meal, almond butter, and blueberries to round it out. You could also use frozen blackberries or frozen strawberries, both would be lovely.
