Friday Faves – No. 36

Friday Faves 36 | Crunchy Kat

Hi! How was your week? I flew home late Monday night, which felt like Sunday night, meaning I had a very short week! Now I’m getting ready to head out of town again.

Friday Faves  No. 36

On Sunday, my husband and I are heading to Italy for almost two weeks!! (There aren’t enough exclamation points to convey my excitement!)

I hope to post a few times while I’m away but you might not see another ‘Friday Faves’ until I return. I always post those in real time and I hope to be doing less reading on my phone and more sightseeing (read: drinking and eating)!

What are you doing this weekend?

Here’s what I’ve been reading and listening to this week

Whoorl’s Green Beauty Guide — All of her favorites!

Vegan Kale Caesar — I LOVE Caesar salads.

Easy Vegan Macaroons — Dana does it again.

5 Heat-Free Ways to Style Your Hair this Summer — Not related to food or wellness but Caroline has some great tips!

The Forward to ‘Body Love’ — I have been stalking Kelly LeVeque of Be Well By Kelly for weeeeeks. I’ve listened to her on every podcast I can find and have done some intense Google stalking. I can’t wait to get Kelly’s new book, Body Love, and this forward, written by Jessica Alba, describes exactly why I love Kelly. (And, you can preorder her book!)

Turmeric Popsicles — What the WHAT?!

How to Get More Collagen in Your Diet — You know how I feel about collagen. I love adding it to my coffee each morning.

Cold Brew + Coconut Creamer — This is summer.

2o Paleo Recipes to Make This Summer — Lots of inspo here!

7-Day Sugar Detox — Rachael’s summary is great.

Ingredient Spotlight: Dimethicone — Lots of good info here about Dimethicone and how it’s used in green beauty products.

If you have any Italy tips, specifically in Venice or Cinque Terre, send them my way! XO.

  1. Wow, Italy! Enjoy! I think I am going to try the samples for the Gressa foundation… It intrigues me! Kind of pricey but… always wanting to try something new. I entered the contest to win the book! You never know! Did you know you can enter to win? If you make the popsicles, let me know. It intrigues me as well! For now I have bookmarked the page for future reference!

Thank you, Corinne! Lots of people LOVE the Gressa Foundation. My advice is to make sure your skin is prepped for it by exfoliating a bit. You may need to apply a light moisturizer underneath but you’ll have to play around with it. I hope you win the book! 🙂 And those popsicles look tasty!
