Vital Proteins: a review

One of the newest kids on the smoothie and latte block is collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. It’s also an essential part of your connective tissue, nails, skin, and hair.

I first heard about collagen peptides back in February when I did Whole30. I finally got to meet some of the team from Vital Proteins at both the Indie Beauty Expo and Expo East. Now that I’ve been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides for about 6 weeks, I didn’t want to hold back any longer!

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

Vital Proteins is one of the industry leaders in supplemental collagen. Their cattle are grass-fed and raised in Brazil. (You can read more about their process and standards on their FAQ page.)

Their collagen peptides are full of non-essential amino acids that you may not be getting through your normal diet. I decided to add collagen to my diet to help keep my skin smooth, strengthen my nails, hair, and joints, and to keep my gut healthy.

Since I started adding collagen to my normal routine 6 weeks ago, I can already tell a huge difference in my nails. The last time I got a manicure, the nail technician had to use both hands on the nail clipper.

I add collagen peptides to my smoothies, my lattes, and my cold brew. It’s odorless and tasteless and can be added to hot or cold liquids so it’s very versatile.

Do you think you’ll try collagen?
